CMS Releases Agenda for Listening Session on Hospital Acquired Conditions

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has posted additional information (including an agenda) on the Hospital Acquired Conditions page of the CMS website for the December 18, 2008 Listening Session on hospital acquired conditions (HAC) and hospital outpatient healthcare-associated conditions.

On October 30, 2008, CMS and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention published a Notice in the Federal Register announcing the Listening Session, which serves to solicit informal comments on HACs and hospital outpatient healthcare-associated conditions in preparation for the FY 2010 Medicare inpatient prospective payment system (PPS) and CY 2010 Medicare outpatient PPS rulemaking process.

To participate in the December 18, 2008 Listening Session, registration is required.  See the Notice for information on the Listening Session and registration.
